The Renter

1. The renter will be at a minimum age of 23 and in the possession of an unendorsed driving license. Valid driving licenses are: An international driving license, a European Community driving license, a national driving license in English, any non-English driving license with a certified translation in English.
2. The renter shall on initiation of rental, sign a contract with NCR Namibia either accepting the requested excesses, reduced excess or can decline such excesses at their own discretion and accept such daily rate quoted prior to rental. The renter shall provide on initiation of rental a credit card of either Visa or MasterCard.
3. The renter shall abide to the given lawful stipulations in terms of the Namibian road traffic act and in addition will abide by the stipulations issued by NCR Namibia as per the signed contract.

The Vehicle

1. The vehicle will remain the property of NCR Namibia during rental. The renter shall not sub-hire this vehicle to a third party or use this vehicle for any commercial purposes.
2. The renter accepts damage and theft liability of the vehicle within the terms of contract unless the renter has opted for the excess or reduced excess in which NCR Namibia will waiver the cost of such damage or theft within a non-negligent  and or third party incident. NCR Namibia does however reserve the right to withhold any unforeseen payments until such incident investigation has been fully completed. (Please see below: factors that negate cover)
3. Tires, windscreen, hubcaps, rim damage, undercarriage damage, and water damage to the vehicle are not inclusive in any waiver, cover or daily rate.

Additional Charges

1. Not inclusive in the rates and non-refundable is a contract fee of N$ 20.00
2. A refundable rental deposit of N$ 1000.00 will be authorized on a credit card on initiation of rental. This amount will be automatically released after termination of rental.
3. Collection and delivery charges within Windhoek or country wide available on request.
4. Should the renter wish to travel cross border, NCR Namibia will provide a letter of authorization. Any costs related to this will be for the renter and NCR Namibia will not accept liability of the renter being refused entry to a neighboring country.
5. Additional optional equipment can be rented on request:

• Additional Spare – N$ 550.00 per rental
• Baby Seat – N$ 350.00 per rental
• Additional Driver – N$ 110.00 per rental
• Medical aid kit – N$ 75.00 per rental
• Cool box – N$ 95.00  per rental
• Jerry can – only in 4x4 vehicles

Additional Information:

1. It is highly recommended that the renter shall take out additional travel insurance covering such persons against personal injury and loss of personal items.
2. The renter should before arrival familiarize him/herself with all factors related to the country, such as language, road conditions, weather patterns and season, general country and road laws.

Factors that negate cover:

1. Not adhering to traffic regulations
2. Speeding on paved and or unpaved roads
3. Unauthorized driver
4. Accident or theft of vehicle not being reported within a given time frame
5. Driving under the influence of alcohol or any illegal substances
6. Reckless driving, or driving where a particular vehicle is not permitted
7. Single vehicle incident where no other vehicle or animal is involved
